Delete your Nutrivo account

You can delete your Nutrivo account and the personal data we hold about you at any time. This page explains how — both from inside the app and without it.
1. From inside the app
- Open Nutrivo on your iOS or Android device.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account enters a 30-day grace period (see Timing below). You will receive a confirmation email when the request is lodged, and a second email when it is finalised.
2. Without the app
If you no longer have the app installed — or simply can't access it — email us from the address you signed up with at hello [at] fivehy [dot] com with the subject line "Delete my Nutrivo account". We will verify the request, lodge the deletion, and email you when it's done. The same 30-day grace period applies.
3. What gets deleted
- Your account credentials (email and hashed authentication secret).
- Your profile (name, height, weight, date of birth, goals, etc.).
- Your diary entries — meals, water and fasting periods.
- Your body metrics and measurement history.
- Any meal photos you uploaded for AI scanning.
4. What we may keep
We may retain a minimal record for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or audit purposes where required by applicable law (typically up to 7 years for financial records). This record does not contain your diary data, body metrics, or photos.
5. Timing — the 30-day grace period
When you request deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this time:
- Your account is frozen — you cannot use the App.
- Your data is held but is not used for any purpose other than completing the deletion.
- Signing back into the App cancels the deletion and restores the account as it was. We do this so a misclick — or someone else using your device — can't permanently lose your history.
After 30 days the deletion is final. Your account and every record linked to it — profile, diary, body metrics, meal photos — are permanently and irreversibly deleted, including from our backup cycle. We cannot restore the data after this point under any circumstances.
